Did you know that lions only succeed in catching their prey about 25% of the time? 🦁

That statistic is fairly common amongst all predators.

But even though they fail in their attempts to hunt most of the time, animals don't despair or give up.

The fact they accept this is due to a natural law that is instinctively built into all-natural living organisms. 🍃

✔️half of baby bears will die in infancy

✔️half of all eggs produced by fish are eaten

✔️most of the seeds produced by plants are eaten by birds or other creatures.

Research has shown that animals and plants are designed to allow for these natural wasted efforts.

It is only us humans that tend to get despondent or anxious if we believe we have failed in our attempts to do something. But, the truth is failure is a natural part of life, and we only truly fail if we stop trying.

Success does not mean you have a perfect life where everything runs smoothly.  It means to accept that many of the things you do will not result in success but to learn from those mistakes and look forward to the next opportunity.

Babe Ruth’s career is a great illustration of this law. 70 years after his death he is still talked about as being the greatest baseball player ever. During his career, he hit 714 home runs. But what is not talked about is that he actually struck out and 'failed' 1330 times (a record he held for 30 years).

These failures didn't stop him from becoming a sporting legend. In fact, it could be argued that it was his willingness to fail that led to his great success.

So keep trying and accept the failures if you want to get the wins you desire.
